Support our community cafe!

Pickled Jills Kitchen in Redcliffe is a well known cafe to everyone from students at St Mary Redcliffe to local tradies getting a fry up on a Friday morning.  For 7 years it's been providing people with great food and standing as a pillar of the community. 

Despite this Bristol City Council have seen fit to hit Jill with a final notice and thrreat of eviction for rent she paid TWO YEARS AGO!  Despite all the evidence to the contrary they are chasing Jill for money she doesn't even owe.  

As if that wasn't enough of a slap in the face for an independent business, Jill has been waiting for over 2 years for urgent repairs to be done.  

Sign this petition to tell Bristol City Council to get it's house in order and demand that they

       - Let Jill know what is going on, calling off the debt if it's not owed

       - Do the repairs that are needed at her cafe  

The council claim to champion local, independent businesses.  Let's make sure they stick to this!

We call on Bristol CIty Council, Graham Clapp, Head of Revenue and Benefits and head of repairs Mark Williams to

  • call off the bailiffs on Pickled Jill's Kitchen and stop chasing them for money that they don't owe.  
  • Do the repairs which were promised two years ago 

Our communities are our lifelines; too many independent businesses in Bristol have been let down by the council, don't let Redcliffe loose a vital community hub due to the council's mismanagement!
