Bristol Council - protect affordable homes in Bedminster!

Developers of a huge housing site in Bedminster are trying to reduce the amount of affordable homes they'll provide from 30% to 10%. It is now up to Bristol City Council to decide whether they accept or reject this. We need more affordable homes to solve the housing and homelessness crisis.

Developers with planning permission at a huge site of 221 flats in Bedminster have just asked Bristol City Council if they can reduce the amount of affordable homes at the site from 30% to just 10%.

Bristol is in the midst of a housing crisis, and this is not acceptable! We need more affordable homes to tackle homelessness and to stop profiteering from rising rents in our city.

Bristol Council has a target of 30% affordable homes in any new development in this area, but this developer is trying to reduce that, all the while forecasting taking 10% profit from this multi-million pound development. Ending homelessness needs to come before private profit.
