Beth has been a tenant with Urban Evolution over the past 4 years, diligently paying rent every month. In the last 2 years, there have been significant issues with the hot water, the last winter period, Beth struggled to have any hot showers and had to heat up water from the kettle to clean herself. After many complaints, including to the council and ombudsman, the situation was never fully resolved. Exasperated at every attempt, Beth had also put up a sticky note in the communal lift saying 'Fix the Water', to which she received a fine of £250 for 'anti-social behaviour, littering and vandalism'.
In the last few months, the lifts became out of use for extended periods of time, which is now the last straw! Beth has disabilities, which affect her mobility and she could no longer put up with this! Beth sent notice 6 weeks beforehand that she wanted to end her tenancy and leave, but Urban Evolution have ignored her request.
We are demanding that Torren Hevingham release her from her contract, with immediate effect.
Please share this email-writing campaign far and wide with friends and family, so Torren knows that this is not humane!
