Dear Douglas Johnson,

I'm writing as a supporter of ACORN Sheffield and a concerned resident.
As you know, Khayriya and her family have developed lifelong, serious physical and mental health problems due to the conditions in their home. As chair of the Housing Committee you're responsible for putting this failure right. But you haven't.
I'm appalled by the failure - from you, other politicians and council employees - to take responsibility for this disgraceful situation.

You've ignored requests for a meeting, you've ignored requests for an apology, you've ignored our demands for compensation and an investigation so that this never happens again to another family.

While it's good that repairs are being done thanks to ACORN's pressure, Khayriya has never had so much as an apology from you or your department, even when confronted with what she has been forced to endure.

We demand:
1. A public investigation into how this has been allowed to happen
2. A full and formal apology from Sheffield City Council
3. Appropriate compensation to Khayriya for the horrendous ordeal her and her children have been put through.
